Rising pop artist Say Rex has emerged onto the scene with a unique blend of lively energy with electronic beats and island influences. Born Brandon Brathwaite in Barbados’ parish of St Philip.

Say Rex was the youngest of six brothers and sisters. He started his stage carerr gracing the stage at The lincon center NYC for The All stars project. After an impromptu performance during a Toronto vacation at the age of 18, his career took an upward trajectory after catching the attention of a Canada-based A&R Kurt Gentles. Although he grew up heavily based in New York where he crossed paths with Hip Hop elite like Joey Bada$$ and the late A$AP Yams, he visited Atlanta frequently to worked with Producer Lil C-Gutta of Grand Hustle Records and collaborated with Kevin Gates on their notable track “Rider” (500K streams) and has been featured in The Source Magzine

Though well-connected to Hip Hop culture, Say Rex’s island roots shine throughout his music, and his sound is reflective of a creative process he calls “freestyles from the heart.” At Say Rex’s core prayer, meditation and spirituality are big themes in his life, all of which are essential to his craft. Drawing inspiration from a myriad of artists and sources, his current top 3 include Avicii, Kanye West and Calvin Harris.
